Over the course of a year, we welcome several extra curriculum activities.
Throughout our week children can partake in Yoga practice with Fiona Dewar where we can model animal poses, learn to breathe, balance and coordinate and stretch.
We enjoy some Hip Hop classes, so we can dance and exercise to music.
We are visiting The Children’s Wood once a month with a group of children, where the children can make camp and engage in outdoor activities.
We have drama classes with Paul, a parent, where children can act, experiment with their voice and body and role play. This is a great opportunity for them to express themselves.
During Term 1, we hosted a Science Club with our 3 to 5 years old children. A scientific student from Glasgow University led the club. Through visual and tactile experiments, she helped the children to solve some scientific questions they had. They also investigated subjects as “how does your heart work?”
All families are welcome to join us for Stay and Play time</stro ng> and all you need to do is sign up!
The children are regular visitors to the library, museums, art galleries and other local places of interest (e.g. our local Fire Station or the fish market). We celebrate and link as much as we can to our family’s traditions and cultures. We therefore visit places of worship and work enabling all to experience our place in our wonderful vibrant city Glasgow!
